Things to do

North Yorkshire has something for everyone, from coastal walks and world class mountain bike trails, through beautiful properties such as Castle Howard and York Minister, to family days out at Flamingo land and exploring for fossils at the Jurassic coast at Whitby.

Traffic is light meaning that cycling on the B roads is enjoyable rather than an ordeal. The walks in the countryside are a pleasure due to the existence of hedgerows that have not been cut down and the abundance of wildlife.

One of the great things about Yorkshire is the variety of pubs using local produce to serve good food at reasonable prices. Combine this with the large selection of real ales available and they make a great excuse to visit them!
